Incubator house

The Incubator House project is connected to the Northern Industrial Park. The incubator house was built in three phases (2010, 2013 and 2020). It has been operating with a full house from the implementation.

The Incubator House, as a method of economic development, helps new businesses to survive and accelerate their growth. The goal of the expanding incubator house is to increase the chances of new businesses and help their development in the initial stage.  The primary target group of the incubator house is the group of start-ups or enterprises which are operating for a few years.

Phase I.  – NYDOP-1.3.1-2F-2009-0004

In the tender of the Western Transdanubia Operational Program (NYDOP-1.3.1-2F-2009-0004), the Local Government of the City of Zalaegerszeg won HUF 332 554 974 for the establishment of the Incubator House. The net cost of the project was HUF 416 005 722. As part of the development, an incubator house with 2 610 square meters was established in 2010. Building “A”, “B”, “C” includes basic, elevated and high-level workshops (22 in total) and 5 offices, meeting rooms and a common social block. In addition, parking areas were established for 60 cars and the related infrastructure as well (roads, sidewalks).

Phase II. – NYDOP-3.1.1-ABC-2012-00005

Reflecting the increased demand were developed the construction works of phase II, which was established in the investment of Zalaegerszeg Urban Development Ltd. with EU support, within the framework of the project with the identification number NYDOP-3.1.1-ABC-2012-00005.

In phase II were completed building „D” and the factory hall “D1” with 100 m2 workshops. Also in this phase were built the “E1” and “E2” factory hall, which encloses the “E” office-social block.
Thanks to the developments, approximately 6 500 m2 (workshops and offices) became to be rented.

Phase III. – TOP-6.1.2-16-ZL1-2017-00001

Within the framework of the tender, which was won by the Municipality of Zalaegerszeg (TOP-6.1.2-16-ZL1-2017-00001), was expanded the incubator house with a 1622 m2 factory hall.

The project management task, which was related to the construction, was also performed by Zalaegerszeg Urban Development Ltd. As part of the development, an approx. 730 and an 870 square meter factory hall were established. The building which is marked with “F”, functions as a separate building. With the investment, we want to provide incubation services primarily to space-intensive, production-focused companies. The expansion is built on the existing infrastructure and uses the existing services. As a result, certain basic functions e.g. communal rooms, changing rooms, kitchen, water blocks did not plan in the new hall, their use is provided in the already existing buildings.
